Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms govern your use of PathStory. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use PathStory.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and be responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Your content

Your journeys, photos, notes and other content remain yours. You grant PathStory only the limited permission needed to store them and display them back to you — and, for journeys you explicitly share, to display them to people with your share link. Do not upload content you do not have the rights to, or content that is unlawful, harmful or infringing.

Acceptable use

You may use PathStory only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data, interfere with the service, scrape or overload it, or use it in a way that endangers you or others — for example, do not interact with the app while driving.

PathStory Plus and payments

PathStory Plus is a recurring subscription billed monthly through Paystack until you cancel. Prices are shown on the Pricing page before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancelling stops future charges and your Plus features continue until the end of the paid period. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing going forward, but changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

Availability

We aim to keep PathStory available and accurate, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Route, distance and elevation figures are estimates and should not be relied on for navigation or safety. Satellite imagery is provided by third parties and may be incomplete or out of date. Always use your own judgment and proper equipment outdoors.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PathStory is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, and our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or the equivalent in subscriptions fees if none). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Termination

You may stop using PathStory and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or abuse the service.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service evolves; the date above shows the latest change, and significant changes will be announced in the app. Questions about the terms? Use the Contact page.
